10th Anniversary of Documentary Film Festival

The International 1001 Documentary Film Festival is taking place in Istanbul from 3-7 October under the title 10.1001. The deadline for film applications is 29 June.

The 10th International 1001 Documentary Film Festival, organized by the Union of Documentary Filmmakers (BSB), is taking place in Istanbul from 3-7 October 2007 with the title "10.1001". Filmmakers wanting to show their work need to apply by 29 June.

A jury made up of documentary film experts will choose the films to take part. The programme and venues will be announced on 3 September 2007.

International meeting of documentaries Since its inception in 1997, the festival has hosted 877 films from 51 countries and hundreds of filmmakers. There is no competition at the festival. The films are required to speak a universal cinematic language, to champion humanitarian values and multi-culturalism, and to make a contribution to the design of the future. (AÖ/EÜ/AG)
