On 8 March, women gathered in Kadiköy, central Istanbul, to demonstrate against cross-border operations in Iraq, harrassment of and violence against women, the planned reform of the social security and health insurance law, and discrimination in general.

The women walked to the square in Kadiköy shouting slogans, singing and dancing.
